Kristin K. Lee Swenson, Communications Consultant
 

Kristin brings a rich background in economics and international relations to the KRC team, along with over 10 years of nonprofit and business communications experience. She has developed communications programs to serve non-profit and non-governmental organizations and brings a multicultural background and collaborative approach to her work.

Kristin is the principal of Kreativz, providing communications design and strategies. Prior to becoming a full-time consultant, Kristin was Communications Officer for the Pacific Pension Institute (PPI) where she developed and implemented a communications program and supporting technology to serve the organization’s membership in North America and Asia. Before joining PPI, Kristin was Communications & Technology Director at United Religions Initiative (URI), an international peacebuilding organization. In addition to her work in communications, Kristin has experience in strategic planning, fundraising, knowledge management and member services. She has consulted for various organizations including In Defense of Animals, the Global AIDS Interfaith Alliance, HelloPeace (The Parents Circle-Families Forum), the North Bay Multimedia Association, Interfaith Youth Core, Marin Realty Group and Commercial Masterminds.

Kristin has a B.A. in economics from Texas Lutheran University and completed all coursework toward an M.A. in Religions and the Arts (emphasis in multimedia) at the Graduate Theological Union, Berkeley. Kristin is a resident of San Rafael where she lives with her husband David, her son Benjamin, dog Pippi and two cats, Taz and Isis.
