Navajo Nation Division of Health

Social Marketing Campaign

KRC was approached by Tchernavia A. Gregory, MPH, a Senior Public Health Advisor and Consultant to the Navajo Division of Health, to assist in developing a social marketing campaign aimed at stemming a syphilis outbreak on and near the Navajo Nation reservation.

KRC worked with the Navajo Division of Health (NDOH) and the Indian Health Service (IHS) to develop a multifaceted marketing program involving creative development for billboards, flyers, drink coasters, radio PSAs and print advertising. The campaign was designed to leverage an established community outreach network throughout the four state reservation area. A series of radio ads were produced and aired on multiple stations across the Navajo reservation during peak festival times last Fall. The NDOH will implement the remainder of the creative campaign as budget allows.
