KRC Drives Attendance To First Alaska Native Arts & Culture Festival in D.C.
Last November, the KRC team generated significant media coverage for the first Alaska Native Arts & Culture Festival at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History. After five months of extensive outreach, we secured prominent placements on two consecutive days in the Washington Post, including one with a photograph on the much coveted “Best Bets” page of the Post’s Weekend Section.

KRC also landed lengthy radio interviews on a handful of Alaska radio stations, along with two full weeks of PSA rotations on two radio stations in the metropolitan D.C. area. We also garnered calendar listings in Alaska Airlines Magazine, Washington Times and Alaska Business Monthly Magazine, as well as in numerous local Alaska newspapers.
Attendance at the festival was strong throughout the weekend, with thousands of visitors helping kick off this first annual festival.
